Dimitra Bakopanou has extensive experience in various areas of practice focusing primarily on corporate law, M&As, commercial contracts, and intellectual property. During the past years, Dimitra has acted as counsel in numerous multijurisdictional M&A and private equity transactions and has also been involved in multiple legal due diligence projects.

Dimitra regularly advises Greek and multinational companies and private equity investment funds on their acquisitions and divestitures worldwide. She is very experienced in complex cross-border commercial, tax and real estate matters advising on a regular basis local and international companies as well as ultra-high net worth individuals and family offices. Having dealt with cross-border transactions, real estate acquisitions and tax structuring projects, Dimitra has drafted numerous advisory memoranda analysing Greek and international tax planning and wealth management matters for individuals and legal entities.  

In addition, Dimitra has worked extensively on matters relating to global trademark portfolio management, global brand protection and personal data protection. She also advises on worldwide corporate branding availability, Greek and European Union trademark oppositions and disputes, as well as IP and software licensing. Dimitra regularly works with clients engaged in the consumer goods, retail and IT industries.

Dimitra is a member of the Athens Bar Association, authorised to practice before the Supreme Court. She has also been awarded the certification of Data Protection Officer Executive by TÜV AUSTRIA HELLAS according to the international standards ISO/IEC 17024.
