KBA LAW FIRM CONTRIBUTES TO EMEA GLOBAL RESTRUCTURING REVIEW 2026

We are proud to announce our fifth consecutive contribution to the annual series of Global Restructuring Review (GRR), featured in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regional chapter.

This year’s edition, authored by our Partner, Georgia Papathanasiou, together with Maria Nefeli Revela and Georgia Fezou, Junior Associates, discusses the developments in Greece’s pre-insolvency and rehabilitation framework, following the enactment of Greek Laws 5193/2025 and 5270/2026.

Among others, our article assesses the evolving role of pre-insolvency tools within the Greek restructuring landscape, emphasising on the role of the Out-of-Court Workout (OCW) mechanism as a central pillar of early-stage intervention, while engaging in a statistical analysis of the OCW’s utilisation in 2025 against 2024 trends. We furthermore present the treatment of claims secured by the Greek State in light of key legislative amendments introduced by Law 5193/2025.

As GRR’s sole Greek contributing law firm for half a decade now, we are deeply grateful for this longstanding collaboration and remain committed to actively participating to the cross-border dialogue on the topics of restructuring and insolvency through this esteemed forum in the years to come.
