Suspension of the operation of the Central Registry of Beneficial Owners

According to a decision of the General Secretariat of Information Systems adopted following the request of the Ministry of Finance, the operation of the information system under the name “Central Registry of Beneficial Owners” was suspended from 22.11.2019 till 19.01.2020. The suspension was decided for maintenance reasons and improvement of the system’s functionality.

Therefore, during the above time period the deadlines for the registration of the liable legal entities’ beneficial owners with the relevant electronic system are also suspended. Such suspension gives the liable legal entities more time to prepare the special registry to be kept in their registered seat in accordance with article 20 of Law 4557/2018 and to file it with the Central Registry of the Ministry of Finance.
